Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The 15-minute consultation call is free, and there's no expectation that you move forward afterward. The point of the call is for both of us to determine whether we're a good fit for your family. If we're not, we'll do our best to point you toward someone who is.
You don't need to prepare anything formal. We'll mostly want to hear what you're noticing, so come ready to share your observations: what's going on with your child, when it started, what you've already tried, and what's prompting you to reach out now.
No. You don't need a referral from a pediatrician, teacher, or anyone else to work with us. Many families come to us through a recommendation from their child's school or doctor, but plenty reach out on their own after noticing something feels off. Either way, the consultation call is the same first step.
Every evaluation starts with a free consultation call. Once we've talked through your concerns and determined the best service for your child, we'll walk you through what to expect from there, including timing and what's involved on your end. To start, fill out the form above, call us at (858) 208-0639, or email admin@pecgroupsd.com.
Most of our services are scheduled Monday through Friday during business hours, but we often have clinicians available for evening and weekend appointments as well. Reach out, and we will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs.
Testing sessions are conducted in person at our Sorrento Valley office, because neuropsychological assessments are most accurate when administered face-to-face. Consultation calls, intake meetings, and follow-up sessions can be done over secure video if that's easier for you.

When You're Ready, We're Here
